December 19, 2019: A Word From The Oracle Of Obviousness

The odds are good – not 100%, but good – that you like Munchkin, or you wouldn't be here reading this. The odds are also good that you are thinking about buying some presents, because it's that time of year. Obvious, right?

So, consulting my obnoxious Orb of Obviousness, I'm going to suggest – not some gem of a game that you might not have heard of – but an obvious common denominator for a lot of game lovers. Yes, I'm talking about our standby, the game that is still around 2/3 of our business . . . Munchkin.

If you're just getting a friend started with the game, Munchkin Deluxe is the way to go. A slightly less obvious add-on, but right for the time of year, is Munchkin Christmas Lite. It's a stand-alone, but it mixes perfectly with the basic Munchkin (although you may want to winnow out some duplicate cards). Ho ho ho.

And if you get Munchkin for someone else, you just have to get something for your own stocking. That's the way Munchkin works, after all. Get in the seasonal spirit with Munchkin Kobolds Ate My Baby! Because nothing says "Christmas" like little monsters eating babies, right? Errr, right?

While you're at it, bake gingerbread cookies. Bite heads off. Repeat. Fun for the whole family!

Merry Christmas!
